Nice place, modern, great location, upscale bar food. I like their take on nachos, very southwest asian inspired. Solid juicy burger, decent drinks, although their manhattan seemed to have a lot of cinnamon flavors, almost like they used fireball. Also, their fries have skin on them, which I'm not a fan of, they were slight crispy on the outside and soggy on the inside. Service was good. We were well taken care of. The burger took a long time to get there but everything else was fast.

Great selection of small plate offerings. Delicious steak sandwich. Friendly and attentive staff. Not too loud, so easy to have a conversation

Went for drinks with friends and the cocktails were dangerously smooth! The bartender was very friendly and let us take some tables so we could spread out from the bar. The moody ambiance with low music created a great vibe to catch up with everyone.

Haymaker Bar and Kitchen had been on my list to visit for quite some time and was the perfect spot to meet a colleague for happy hour one afternoon. I was able to grab the last 2 bar stools at 3:30 pm on a Thursday. It was not exactly crowded, but the bar seats were all otherwise occupied by men, leaving us as the 2 lone women in the place! Anyway, we grabbed some menus, and I was very impressed by their cocktail, wine, and beer lists, which were vast and diverse. I decided to go for the Spicy Pineapple Margarita, which was a very potent blend of Pueblo Viejo Tequila, fresh pineapple, Fresno pepper, and lime. It was served in a rocks glass with a singular, large ice cube, and, boy, was it strong! Haymaker was perfect for our needs, but I would definitely go back there for a casual meal, group drinks, or pretty much most occasions.

Came here after an improv show with about 20-25 people, NO reservation, and they quickly and gladly seated us. The service was quick and friendly and I enjoyed my Haymaker burger! Any place in NYC where you can roll in 20+ deep is automatically 5 stars in my book!

Really great place to stop for drinks and food in the vicinity of Penn Station and MSG. Robust beer selection , great service, and delicious food! We split a few plates: the sweet chili wings were amazing and the perfect level of sauce to wing ratio, definitely living up to the hype. We were HUGE fans of the buffalo chicken flatbread - the chicken was delicious, and the blue cheese as the "sauce" on the flatbread brought everything together so well. The nachos were a bit soggy from the amount of toppings out in them, but I can't complain about too many toppings when all too often the problem with nachos is not enough. And the fries were delicious - but they are thick cut so won't be super crispy, so if that's a deal breaker for you, be forewarned. Will definitely be back here before events at MSG again!
